Champagne Pools are the only spot on Fraser Island (K’gari) where it’s considered safe to swim in the ocean — a series of rock pools on 75 Mile Beach, protected from the open surf (and its currents and sharks) by a natural volcanic rock wall. Waves break over the rocks and froth into the pools, giving them their name.
